I decided I better come back and write a review on Fontain Motors after 7 months of ownership

In November 25 I travelled from NI to England to buy an S4 from another dealer. Long story short, it wasn’t very nice. Being stuck without a car and the thought of having to travel back to NI disappointed, I phoned Marcus to discuss a black s4 avant he had for sale. Marcus went out of his way to help me get from one side of the country to the other in about 4 hours before collecting me at the local train station.

When I arrived at his HQ, it was clear he stocked very good examples of performance Audis. After a good going over of the car and a brew, we came to a deal and I purchased the car.

When I arrived home in NI, there was a couple of teething issues. 2 cabin pressure vents needed replaced to prevent water leaking into the boot and an exhaust flap motor was broken. I started worrying I had bought a bit of a dud.

After speaking with Marcus over the phone and through email over the course of a week or two, we managed to come to an agreement and he covered the cost to repair the faults. A local independent sorted the problems and Alex (Marcus’s colleague) arranged payment immediately over the phone.

Since then, I have had trouble free motoring and the car is a joy to drive and sit in. After a bit of reflection, I think it’s fair to say Marcus is a good guy and will help you out with after sale teething problems, if there are any.

Their stock, in my option, include some of the best examples of used cars on the market and I would recommend them to anyone. Cheers, Matthew.

Just picked up my 21 reg RS5 from Alex at Fontain motors. The car is amazing and was very presented on pick up. It’s exactly as described and the small defects picked out by Alex in the walkround video are nowhere near as noticeable as they on the video but Alex shows these anyway in full transparency. As I am a 3 hour drive away I was happy to put down a deposit to hold the vehicle in the knowledge that there was a guaranteed return of funds if I didn’t purchase. He prepared the car for viewing within a few days. That week I made the journey. Alex was a very friendly chap and extremely informative about all things Audi. I had a very good test drive with Alex which covered many aspects of everyday driving. All my questions were answered immediately. I recently purchased an S4 Audi Avant and was looked after by Alex. I thought I had a good background knowledge of this model as it is my 5th one but frankly Alex rang rings around me. Every question was answered instantly and gave me full confidence in my purchase. When you consider after sales service facilities at the centre , local servicing workshop partnership coupled with a comprehensive 12 month warranty my investment has become a bit of a bargain. I recently purchased my Q5 from Marcus at Fontain and was thoroughly impressed with the service.

Recently purchased a beautiful S5 coupe!
For me buying a car is a big decision, the risk involved and “doing the right thing”

From the moment I called and talk to Marcus I was met with a very genuine and honest seller with great knowledge and to be open he didn’t have to “Sell” his cars as the stock in place was of such a high standard they sell themselves! I have brought many cars over my time so I understand the “how this works” one thing for me is the stock speeks!!

Marcus happily sent videos of the car as I lived 180miles away, talked over my trade in.
After a few calls and a week or so I paid the refundable holding deposit and agreed to view the car.

On arrival Marcus was very accommodating, tea offered and discussions began. On viewing the S5 it was clear that this was a very good and clean car, presented to a high level. Due to the distance car had a new mot and was ready to go so that I didn’t have to go back and fourth, even if I was not interested and decided to walk away.

Cars looked over next test drive! Marcus again was relaxed and talk over the car, pointed out all the lovely extras and then handed over the wheel. Car drove like new, clean, smooth full history, 12 month warranty and a piece of mind!

After test drive paperwork all sorted, Marcus sorted all the tax swap and other paper work etc and deal done. Unfortunately I has some issues with my insurance company which meant quite a time delay in getting this sorted. Again Marcus was relaxed and supportive (cuppa was made!)

I’m a few days in the my new car and I’m extremely pleased with not only the car but the whole experience of using Fontain! Would I use them again…..Yes!! I would recommend if you are looking for a performance Audi, from a specialist provider then look no further!!

I can’t fault Marcus and team. I’m delighted with the car and the service I received from Fontain. They were very straightforward and efficient. If you are looking for a performance Audi, I recommend giving Fontain a try.

Would not hesitate to recommend Fontain motors for anyone looking to buy an S, RS or in fact any Audi. Alex was a pleasure to deal with – incredibly knowledgeable about the Audi products which makes a nice change from many other dealerships who are simply clueless about the spec, options and service requirements. I was after a very precise spec and Alex took lots time on the phone discussing this with me, sending me a detailed, honest video appraisal of the vehicle and answering all the questions I had before viewing. Communication was great both via phone and email with Alex promptly replying to any queries and being very flexible with timings to suit me.

The cars are well sourced and in great condition with good history and condition. Alex changed the air filter as part of the service and brake fluid change along with a fresh MOT ready even if I decided against the car. No pushy sales tactics or up-selling either.

Being picky, one star less as on inspection the vehicle had two perishing rubber suspension bushes which was also noticed on the service report. Whilst not picked up on the MOT and not fully perished, this will require attention at some point soon and should be a relatively cheap fix. Either a small contribution towards the cost of having this done, or if these were already changed on its service as preventative maintenance that would have been 5 stars for me. Test drive route could perhaps do with a change up as not much of a chance to experience the vehicle across a range of conditions / speeds. Aftercare / warranty support not yet seen but I’m sure if there were any issues they’d be quick to help.

All in all, I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on their stock for any future purchases. Thanks again guys!

Fantastic car from a reputable and highly knowledgeable dealer – I called Fontain and was given lots of information on the car I was interested in. Turned up to look at the car and Alex showed us around. I can’t tell you how great his knowledge and attentiveness is. Alex gave me all the time I needed to look around. There was no hurrying me and he took me out for a test drive again not rushing me or putting me under any pressure to purchase.

There was no upselling which other garages tend to do.

What can I say. Called Friday, arrived and test drove car Saturday, left with my new Audi by midday. The whole experience was straight forward and pleasant. The only downside to the whole experience, I was unable to drive away with an RS6 , but the one I bought was better than described and just what we need for now.

Well what can I say about Fontain Motors other than their customer service and aftercare is unlike any other used car dealer I’ve come across in the past. Credit to Marcus and Alex.

From the first conversation, I was put at ease and all of my questions were answered thoroughly with Fontain making sure I had all information I needed to then make the decision to reserve the car. After reserving the car, I arranged to view it and take it on a test drive.

In short, the car looked amazing both inside and out and drove fantastic. Needless to say, I decided to buy the car as it was everything I wanted and such a step up from my older Audi A6 Avant, and my particular model is quite rare now which is an added bonus for the future.

However, as with any second-hand car and despite all efforts made by Fontain to ensure the car was perfect as it could be, I did notice a few things into my ownership that weren’t initially noticeable when I looked and drove the car. I discussed these at length with Marcus and Alex and we arranged a suitable time for the car to go back and be looked at by their authorised Audi specialist, who I will use going forward for our servicing needs etc as my wife has a TT.

The approach taken by Fontain to simply have the car back without any mention of the ‘Warranty’ route which I’ve experienced in the past truly shows their commitment to customer service and making sure I was happy with my purchase.

I decided to wait a few months to write my review so I could ensure that what I wrote was completely honest.

In reference to the car now three months on, I am really pleased with what I’ve got and I would not hesitate in buying another from Fontain down the line.

On a final note, I really want to express my thanks to Marcus and Alex in the way they have dealt with me from that initial conversation, and maybe in a year or so, you’ll have my next car ready and waiting – maybe an S6 with all the bells and whistles :-).

Pure class from a reputable and highly knowledgeable dealer – I called Fontain and spoke with Marcus whom I can not tell you how great his knowledge and attentiveness is. Marcus gave me all the time I needed, allowed me to ask close to a thousand questions without a yawn!! and was happy to answer all questions. Marcus was super quick at getting back to me (even out of hours – maybe I shouldn’t say that as everyone will expect that level of service – lucky for me I got it)

I was looking at 2 cars, one from Fontain and one from the main deal, weirdly the main dealer was cheaper – however main dealer service was terrible and that’s giving them credit, plus the prep of the car wasn’t a patch on Fontain.

The SQ5 we purchased from Fontain looks like an exdemo straight from the showroom, very well specified car from new and looked after, full dealer history. Marcus did a walk around video and during the video I noticed a whine from the belt and coolant level being low.. If anyone is serious about buying a B9 engine that goes in a SQ5 – S4 – S5 etc then you’ll know about the coolant bottle sensor issues, water pump issues and thermo issues. Marcus was straight on the case with their independent Audi Specialist and actually had the water pump and thermo replaced plus the aux belt as a precaution as he wanted the car to go out in perfect working order. We have had the car for a few weeks now and its amazing. I would highly recommend Fontain, I have been looking at their cars for 15+ years and I live 100miles away from them!! I’ve just never had the means until now to buy one of their amazing example cars!

In short, a fantastic place with friendly and trustworthy people! Having been to a couple of other garages for an ongoing problem with my Audi, I decided to go with Fontain and they were able to diagnose the problem and fix the issue promptly. Very pleased with the service and highly recommend to others.

First time I’ve used them and the service from booking to receiving the car back was 100% excellent.

Phone service was superb, very human and you’re treated like a human, they also have a sense of humour and know their cars.

During service, some problems were found but you could tell it wasn’t done to make some extra money, you could see they were genuinely concerned and meant well for me – the car owner.

Pickup was even easier, lady at reception had my keys ready, everything was e-mailed from the job card plus the car was valeted perfectly, that’s the best it’s looked in five years!!

Over many years of motoring I have met my fair share of automotive specialists and dealers and I would have to say Fontain are right up there as one of the best I have dealt with. Very experienced, very accommodating, very fair. Took my car there with a noise coming from the gearbox to investigate and they diagnosed the fault within an hour . Marcus then took the time to explain my options and offered some really good advice. I will without doubt be returning to Fontain when the time comes for more excellent service.

Its been a few weeks since I picked up my A5 and the grin on my face is still as big as when I drove it away. I would highly recommend Fontain Motors if you are in the market for an Audi. The customer service was terrific and Alex really knows his Audi’s which is reflected in the cars they sell. My car was immaculately presented and just as the advert described. When it comes to replace my current vehicle Fontain is the first place I will look for a new one.

Recently purchased a 17 plate Audi from Marcus. We were travelling a distance to part ex and purchase so all details had to be spot on, and they were. Alex provided and very comprehensive video walk around the car, all negotiations were completed over the phone. On the day of exchange Marcus was true to his word on every aspect of the deal. Very happy, would strongly recommend and would purchase from them again.

I recently traded in my S3 for an RS4, as I needed a bigger car. I was sad to see the S3 go, but Marcus and Alex at Fontain made the process simple and enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble, down to printing off the spec list from Audi and individually highlighting all of the options on the list and explaining them in detail. The car had new disks and a DRC shock absorber replaced, so reassuring that no expense was spared in putting this car up for sale in the best condition possible. I will definitely be returning when the service is due, as these guys know what they are doing!
Additional Autoglym Lifeshine is also worth investing in. Dirt and water doesn’t seem to stick and the included product bag, with all of the car cleaning gear you could ever need makes it seem a no brainer.

After seeing a great car on the easy to use website we called and went to view the car and then a test drive. Alex and the team where great and very patient as we have 2 children. Could not have asked for an easier or more friendly service and we really got a personal touch. This is something we did not get when we went to look at cars from big dealerships.

Due to a new job, I am now predominantly a home based worker which unfortunately meant, it wasnt viable to keep my s3 any longer. A car like that needs to be driven! I ended up selling it to Fontain motors and can not recommend this company enough. Alex was incredibly patient and accomodating during the process and his communication was exceptional. I recently purchased an SQ5 from Fontain Motors, i dealt with Alex Green, he was very professional and answered every question i had. He also had all documents to hand so there wasn’t a period where he had to go away to find the information.

When i collected the car, it was professionally cleaned. The whole process took a couple of days from my initial enquiry to driving the car home.

Fontain Motors did a major service on my 2012 S5 Cab just before I bought it, so I approached them first for a water pump replacement. Kully and Marcus were fantastic, the price (and hours in the shop) were way lower than I’d feared. Polite, communicative, helpful and professional all the way, I will certainly be booking in again soon for my upcoming DSG oil service. Since purchasing my Audi SQ7 in April 2021, I have had to revisit Fontain Motors a couple of times due to minor technical faults that occurred on different occasions. I’m one who never writes reviews unless they are negative to warn others but felt compelled to as my way of saying Thank You to Fontain Motors! and especially Marcus! for the excellent customer service and hospitality that I have experienced throughout each and every time not to mention the efficient fault diagnosis and repairs.

This level of service is something I have not experienced at my local Audi dealership and as a result I’ve now gone as far as trusting Fontain Motors not only to service my car, but also hope to return to them in the future to replace my existing car.

BTW they even give you a free courtesy car, whilst your car is in for repairs!

I had a fairly serious problem with my car, I called and was given excellent advice on how to manage in the short term by people who clearly know their cars!

My car was booked in asap, courtesy car provided and all fixed with minimum fuss.

This time last week I arrived at Fontain to collect a car I had put a deposit on with Alex over the phone. I had done this in blind faith as the car only had a few pre-marketing pictures online.

I was pleased to discover the car was exactly as described. An absolute low mileage gem, 8 years old and in pure time-warp condition. The metal door sills still had the blue cellophane on them!!! Wow.

Every conceivable detail had been accounted for, and even the slightly bothersome task of switching the registration (Alex allowed me to take the car on it’s previous private plate in order to expedite my purchase) was done swiftly and effectively over the phone.

One of the key fobs had a low battery warning arise upon entering the car, and on Monday morning TWO brand new Duracell lithium cells arrived on my doorstep (an awkward to find variation).

Alex was a pleasure to deal with. Honest, friendly and open about the car, no pressure whatsoever, and even gave me some helpful advice with regards to a slightly iffy insurance situation.

If Fontain have the model you’re looking for don’t even hesitate. They have set a new standard for me.

Taking the plunge and buying such a unique car was initially daunting. I did seek advise from Alex on specific maintenance costs and what to look for when purchasing. Armed with that I bought from an independent up north. I knew my car would need a sizeable service before I started enjoying it fully. Fontain met all my expectations as an RS specialist. The advise Alex gave me got me the right car, so taking it to Fontain for my first service was the best choice I’ve made in a long time. This is the kind of company and importantly people, that make their customers feel totally at ease. They also care and respect their customers cars, also a rare and very desirable trait.

Every penny I’ve spent on its service was money well spent. I can’t thank them enough for the quality of work and fitting me in before my parents emigrated. I saw a car that I liked, more importantly it had all the extras that I wanted, but my own car hadn’t sold at the time, I was also working away from home, so I was worried I may lose out on any potential purchase.

In April 2021 I bought a beautiful B8 RS4 V8 from Fontain with just 31k on the clock. The initial experience on buying the car was all very positive. The car was fantastic and really gets under your skin. Fontain and Alex in particular are a rare thing – a car dealer who is an absolute joy to deal with . Highly knowledgeable about the cars they are selling and clearly very selective about what they will retail. They went out of their way to ensure everyting was right, refurbing wheels that were in great condition, replacing one of the DRC dampers etc before purchase. I am convinced they will not sell a dud. Six months later and I am pleased to say my view of that experience is even stronger. The car has been awesome . An absolutle joy to own and enjoy. Its just had its major 40k service and passed with flying colours. Not a single OBD fault reported in 6 months and 9000 miles of fun. Put simply, I cannot recommend Fontain highly enough and would certainly buy from them again.

Stellar service from Alex Green at Fontain Motors. I had been on the hunt for a highly spec’d A5 Coupé for a good while and couldn’t find what I wanted until I spotted a Mythos Black beauty down at Fontain Motors in Iver. I placed a deposit on it to hold it until I’d test driven and had a call with Alex who was great. Really friendly, and seriously knowledgeable about all things Audi. That was enough for me to book trains and hotel from Glasgow down to London a couple of days later.

The car was well prepped, price was competitive and the test drive was excellent, so I made the purchase and drove it back to Glasgow. Alex has been great post-sale too and has answered a couple of questions I’ve had about car functions quickly and accurately.

All in, a great service and I’ll definitely be checking out Fontain stock for my next Audi!

Have had an issue with loss of power for over 8 months,I originally contacted Audi dealers direct but due to the price they quoted of £220 to diagnose the fault I left the matter

Recently been to 3 different non Audi garages all who gave me incorrect answers from I needed a new Turbo £1500 or a new CAT Converter etc

Booked it in with Fontain they charged me 60% less analysing my car than Audi were quoting, £90
They got to the problem resolved it (it was a split hose)!!!!!!!

Sourced the perfect car for us and prepared it beautifully. Amazing service and attention to detail. This is a special place run by friendly, knowledgeable expert people. In addition to finding us the perfect Mercedes AMG SLK they have arranged delivery and pick up of our Range Rover Evoque which they will market and sell for us. Not only THE Audi specialist but with their web of contacts Nationwide they are a one stop shop for honourability, quality and reliability.

I have used Fontain for about 12 years now so that must say something. Diagnosed my fault (dodgy throttle valve) straight away. Job done!
Could I have found a cheaper repair? Maybe, but we always wonder this don’t we. Chances are somewhere else might have miss diagnosed and ended up costing more. My advise is go with who you trust.

I received great service when I recently purchased a low mileage Range Rover Evoque through click and collect. Alex’s description of the car was honest, the car was well prepared and the handover efficient.

Got me out of a tight spot having an older S3 and needing the rear diff replacing. Not many people about who could help so definitely a good contact to know! These guy were professional, fixed the problem how/when they said they would, and even washed the car after. Highly recommended!

I was looking on the web for somewhere to service my Audi A5 for the first time since I had bought it and although I was aware of Fontains, as I live locally, they kept being recommended in online forums. I went to their website and navigated easily through the types of services and cost’s. The reviews came next and they were impressive, so I called them.
That call was answered by Marcus who quickly set about booking me in on the date that I had chosen. As he was talking to me, he did a check on the Audi database to see the history of the car and immediatley notified me of a problem with the service history, it showed no service since it’s first. Now luckily, I had the invoices of prior services carried out at an Audi garage so he advised me to contact them to get the services updated, great work so far. I was also informed of the multi-tronic gearbox oil change that was required at 40k and a look at the previous invoices confirmed that it was not due then…but it was now, so another win.
I was sent an email to confirm the service along with details of the procedures in place, because of social distancing, and a time to arrive.
Cometh the day, I arrived on time expecting great service……and they did not disappoint! Firstly I was was greeted by the friendly Ray who said that Marcus would be out to meet me shortly and that he would bring the round the courtesy car that I had requested. As he went off Marcus arrived, again friendly, who greeted me and duly started the checking in process. He was also able to accomodate an MOT that was due in couple of weeks that I was going to take elsewhere, but thought in that moment, why not get it done here instead. The courtesy car came out, paperwork done and I was on my way.
I got a call in the afternoon to say that the service was done and there were a couple of minor comments but nothing to worry about, the MOT was next and the time to collect the car, perfect! Needless to say the collection was as seemless as the drop off with Marcus and Ray working tirelessly to meet a workload hampered by the current pandemic restrictions. Despite this, they still made time for conversation and that went a long way, so hats off to them. Subsequently I was sent the invoices and the service report which included photos of the minor offending articles raised earlier in the day. All round a very good experience from car owners point of view. I will certainly have no hesitation in recommending you in the future and keep up the great work.

Lovely condition A6 BItdi Black Edition, a car I’ve wanted for about 2 years, spotted by me on their website very early even before final prep. Holding deposit sorted. Viewed. Test drive. Looking lovely in Phantom Black. Knowledgeable staff ( Alex and Marcus ) and very professional. If you want a higher end Audi in great condition but prefer to stay away from main dealers, Fontain is your new sensible choice.

My first experience of Fontain Motors Ltd was a pleasant one, I needed an oil and Inspection service for my Audi and I spoke to Kully who was able to do this on short notice and she booked me in within a few days of that call, the drop off was very well implemented due to the current Covid guidelines, communication was very reassuring while my vehicle was in their care via email and full description of work done with photos and then a phone call to inform me of when to collect my vehicle which was presented nicely cleaned in the customer parking area, the collection went just as smoothly still keeping to current guidelines.

I am very happy with the service received and at a very reasonable price, I would definitely recommend to all my family and friends and also glad I have found a local Audi specialist that cares about customer service.

I was delighted with the extraordinary levels of service shown by Marcus and Kully in October. Even though they were short staffed they managed to schedule a major service for my Tiguan at short notice and promptly carried out additional remedial repairs involving replacement suspension arms and brake discs.

I took my car to Fontain for a service and clutch replacement and the work and service received was absolutely first class from start to finish. This was an apprehensive few days due to the extent of the work needed and Marcus went above and beyond in the service he provided by spending a considerable time on the phone discussing the problem with the car and even sending me regular photos!

I found Fontain Motors via Google whilst looking for an Audi/RS specialist near London after buying a car during lockdown.
Safe to say I’m really glad I did, I’ve been really happy with them. I’ve had my car serviced here, and have also (unfortunately for me) had to get my car looked at after an error appeared on the dash.

I’ve mainly dealt with Marcus, and the experience has been great. They’ve done a good job, have gone above and beyond what I would expect and have made the whole process of getting my car recovered, investigated and fixed as painless as it could be.

Overall, i’d highly recommend Fontain – they’ve got good prices, the guys are really friendly and trustworthy, clearly know their stuff and practically they are well located for those located in London or the home counties.

Some other notes, they offer a courtesy car which is really handy, or they are nearby a train station.

Great service, at a reasonable price. The service includes a car wash. The garage is located behind Iver High Street, but the sales and service Office, for customer visits is located on Ridgeway. Staff are nice and happy to help. Fontain only work on VAG group cars, i.e vw, audi, seat, skoda. (Not sure about porsche, lamborghini, Bentley, bugatti, ducati, or commercial vehicles.).

I have just bought a stunning Audi TT from Fontain. Marcus kept me up-to-date with the servicing and MOT status for the car. My brother and I travelled down from Middlesbrough and Marcus kindly picked us up from Uxbridge Station. We were treated extremely well by all members of the team and offered refreshments. I have no hesitation in strongly recommending this company to others – I don`t think you`ll be disappointed.

Buying a car from Fontain Motors Ltd., was truly a five star experience. Their great patience was a necessity for someone who as a “very” senior citizen had considerable difficulty in making up his mind! Nothing was to much trouble. Vague queries were promptly dealt with. I found the lack of pressure, very encouraging. The presentation of the vehicle was excellent and briefing me on it was very helpful. Brought my car in for an MOT and brake fluid change. This is the first time I have used Fontain Motors and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or use them again. Nice facilities, well mannered and friendly staff. Only slight negative was that they were very busy which meant there was a lack of updates and unanswered calls, however, its always a positive when a garage is in demand. Delighted with Sepang Blue TTS. Flew down from Scotland on Monday eve, viewed and test drove the beautifully prepared car with David on Tuesday morning and would have been on the road back to Scotland by 11:00 had it not been for the insurance company server going down.Finally sorted with advice from the guys at Fontain (1 day insurance to get me home) and then enjoyed the 550 mile drive.
